I finally did it!

I finally did it! I received my Master’s degree. Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. The day has finally come when I can say I have my MBA. Due to COVID, I could work from home; having the opportunity to work from home has given me more time to do things since I don’t need to commute to Honolulu (downtown).

At the start of 2021, I started my MBA program. I’m so happy I got tuition reimbursement from my current job and have so much support from my manager, coworkers, family, and friends. It took me about a year and a half to finish. I made sure to prioritize between work and school and have some breaks for my mental health. I got nervous taking each proctored test because the questions weren’t aligned with the study material, but I had to do it. So proud of myself for finishing strong. My final paper was graded when I got the final text message and I started crying because everything was over and I wouldn’t have to study and write anymore. One day, I may get a Ph.D., but for now I’m happy with myself and going to focus on certifications.

An old co-worker once told me, “baby steps, that’s all you need to do,” and you’ll end up where you need to be.

Thanks to my sister for always reading my papers and revising them. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her. I’m so glad we both got our Master’s Degree. I’m an MBA in Healthcare Management and she’s a Masters in Public Health Epidemiology.

Goodbye, 2020!

This year was quite a trying year for everyone. I hope that in 2021 there is a shining ray of hope for everyone. Let this light be warm and embrace those who are cold and in despair. I am ready to put a close to this year’s chapter. I pray that we all can work hand in hand and overcome these obstacles together. Let’s give it our best! Cheers to 2021!

So much on my mind

This year is almost coming to a close and I have so many things on my mind right now. I feel with this pandemic, I have been robbed of my personal time and year. I already have some goals in mind that I want to carry out for the new year of 2021. I am starting my MBA in Healthcare Management on January 1st and also I have made my year at my current job. I hope that I can balance my time with work and school. Due to the uncertainties of this virus, I want to be very much flexible with my career and stand apart from others as I move forward on obtaining this MBA while being a full-time student and worker.

未来

During this pandemic, a lot of things have been getting quite difficult. I am also thinking of the future and it finally hit me. I am really scared of what things are going to be like.

I don’t think I can even live up to my future goals anymore. I am slightly depressed.

Honolulu Marathon 2019

I did it! I finished my first Honolulu Marathon! I told my self I wanted to do something before I hit the milestone of dirty thirty and I am proud to say that I did it. Also, another thing is that this was an early birthday present to myself.

I want to thank my friend April for training with me for this marathon and I could not have done it without her help.
